Chapter 19

¹ Unto the end. A psalm for David.
² May the Lord hear thee in the day of tribulation: may the name of the God of Jacob protect thee.
³ May he send thee help from the sanctuary: and defend thee out of Sion.
⁴ May he be mindful of all thy sacrifices: and may thy whole burnt offering be made fat.
⁵ May he give thee according to thy own heart; and confirm all thy counsels.
⁶ We will rejoice in thy salvation; and in the name of our God we shall be exalted.
⁷ The Lord fulfil all thy petitions: now have I known that the Lord hath saved his anointed. He will hear him from his holy heaven: the salvation of his right hand is in powers.
⁸ Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will call upon the name of the Lord our God.
⁹ They are bound, and have fallen; but we are risen, and are set upright. O Lord, save the king: and hear us in the day that we shall call upon thee.

Chapter 19

¹ To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth the work of his hands.
² Day to day uttereth speech, and night to night showeth knowledge.
³ There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
⁴ Their line hath gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
⁵ Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
⁶ His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit to the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from his heat.
⁷ The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
⁸ The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

² Day after day it sends out its word, and night after night it gives knowledge.
³ There are no words or language; their voice makes no sound.
⁴ Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them has he put a tent for the sun,
